The Social Network
Last night I watched The Social Network for the first time. It was the final inspiration for creating this site. One of the most powerful messages in the movie is: Smart people are important. It's a message that goes unnoticed by many people because it seems so obviously true. But I want to say that it's actually not true. In fact, it's a lie. Smart people are no more important than any other person. As long as we buy into the idea that intelligence increases value in a person, we will remain captive to a life that can't save anyone or anything. Being smart is a great gift from God, but it does not make anyone greater than anyone else. So "here I stand. I can do no other."
